This very nice 2 bedroom apartment is ideally located just steps from the Luxembourg Gardens in the very prestigious 6th arrondissement. It is very quiet. It features an American style kitchen opening onto a living room with flat screen cable TV, DSM computer set up, sleep sofa , breakfast area and large windows opening onto a private courtyard.

The windows are beautiful floor to ceiling and all open wide onto a courtyard. The ceilings are coved with decorative moldings.

The floors are Original. They are polished, restored hardwood. The kitchen has brand new tile on the walls, counters and floor. It is fully equipped with all appliances.

The Marble bath has both tub and shower.

The master bedroom features a fireplace and a very comfortable queen bed . The 2nd bedroom features comfortable twin beds which can be pushed together to make a king-sized bed.

Both bedrooms are comfortable, and have beautiful floor to ceiling windows onto a courtyard.. At 560 square feet, the apartment is spacious by Paris standards and has a wonderful, private floor plan. It is tastefully furnished with antiques, reproductions and new pieces.

There are enough closets for your personal belongings and the space makes it a very comfortable place to stay. The apartment is in a 19th century building with a wide, sweeping staircase and an elevator. It is on the 1st French (2nd American) floor and is very bright and quiet.

It is heated, air conditioned and has a washer/dryer, telephone and internet connection.

The apartment features an absolutely smashing location steps from the Luxembourg Gardens with excellent metro, RER and bus service.
You can board the train at the airport and get off 1 block from the apt with no changes!
The neighborhood is quite upscale, in an area where many Parisiens will tell you they wish they could live. éFar enough from the touristy part of the 6th to be authentic, it is an easy walk to the discount fashions along St. Placide or the high end shopping of St. Germain.
This apartment is in the heart of the literary section of Paris--several of Ernest Hemingway's apartments are nearby and the famous salon hosted by Gertrude Stein is right around the corner.

Neighborhood shops, grocery, bakeries:

One of Paris' best and most famous bakeries, Kayser, is on the corner and within a block are a newstand, shoe repair, laundromat, cafe, bar, and art gallery. In less than a 5 minute walk you have a supermarket, pharmacy, minimart open till midnight, internet cafes, and many restaurants. (Bld St Michel)
The apartment is a 10 minute walk to the heart of the Latin Quarter.
