Full of paintings, books and CDs, this is less a rental apartment than a home.

Extremely quiet, flooded with light, on the 4th floor (with elevator) over a courtyard, it is a short stroll from the Place des Vosges, the Bastille Opera, the Picasso, Arts and Crafts, and Carnavalet museums. A church with a Delacroix painting and the oldest market in Paris are around the corner. One of our guests wrote that with or without kids, the Cirque d'Hiver - the all year 'Winter Circus' in its illuminated 1850's structure at the end of the street - "provides an unexpected and magical evening". The metro "filles du Calvaire" is a few steps away.

The apartment (750 square feet) has a living/dining room with an extendable table, a desk, cable TV, Video and DVD. The kitchen is equipped with everything from sugar and spices to microwave, fridge, stove and dishwasher. The bathroom has a tub and a shower. Washer-dryer and a fax-machine are in the store-room. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed, a desk and an additional, folded single bed; the other, smaller bedroom has a desk and a sofa/bed for two. In both there is plenty of cupboard-space for personal belongings.
